Latent Section
ongoing
There are organs inside the body we never see. We know they are there, functioning, holding. We forget them until something goes wrong. This series begins from that forgetting.
Digital devices and the infrastructure that connects them have become extensions of the body in the most literal sense. They hold memory, absorb emotion, carry the residue of relationships. We rely on them the way we rely on organs we cannot name. When a device goes dark, something is lost that was never quite ours to keep. Sometimes nothing goes wrong. They go quiet, and persist.
I work with what remains when content disappears but form does not. A coiled cable with nothing running through it. A board with no signal. A shell that continues to hold. These are not broken objects, but containers that have outlasted what they held.
